Deep Matter – A ❤️ Letter of Rejection

Dear Rejected,

We recently received your music submission to our [INSERT Music Publication] and we regret to inform you that we are rejecting you. We receive millions of submissions every day and unfortunately are only able to offer exposure to our friends and the same handful of people that our competitors are writing about. This is in no way, shape or form a reflection of your talent, drive, or work, but rather a reflection of our inability to take the time to really understand what you have poured your heart and soul into and open our minds to anything beyond the status quo. What we mean is, we didn’t listen to it.

Please accept our deepest, most sincere apologies in this templated message. It is not intended to hinder your self-esteem or passion to create the most interesting, meaningful music that only those closest to you will have the absolute pleasure of enjoying. 

Be advised that our years and years of experience in every subject (except music) has made us experts in music. We literally have no idea what we’re talking about but are proud to represent the largest of microcosms in the industry  – one that has no bearing on your future success. 

Please feel free to reach out to us again in the future with new material that we may promptly reject again or simply ignore. Remember, we are here to support all of your efforts by continuously beating you down so that you may be reminded of how truly special you are.
